North (northproject.co) is a Data & AI consultancy run by Christopher Holmes. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at hello@northproject.co.
When you complete our AI readiness test and ask for your report, we collect:
If you only take the test and don't ask for a report, your answers stay in your own browser and are not sent to us.
We use AI tools to help draft your report from your answers. A person at North reviews every report before it is sent. We do not sell your data or use it for automated decisions about you.
We use a small number of trusted providers to run this service: Cloudflare (website hosting and storage), Google (website analytics, only if you accept cookies), Resend (sending email) and Anthropic (AI drafting of reports). They process data on our behalf under their data processing terms. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum apply.
We keep test submissions and related correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, email hello@northproject.co. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, such as which pages are viewed and how people arrive here. This sets cookies named _ga and _ga_*, which last for up to two years. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, which processes this data on our behalf. IP addresses are not stored, and we do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
These cookies are only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can change your mind at any time: open cookie settings.
The readiness test also saves your progress in your own browser so you can pick up where you left off, and we remember your cookie choice for six months. Neither of these is shared with us.
